This rig was sent to me to have 25 cartridge loops and nickel spots put around the edges. It also had a water stain that I took care of. This single thickness rig is marked "Hand made by D.F. Steadman Jr.". I believe this folk art looking rig was made for show or as a parade outfit. It also resembles rigs sold by Hy Hunter in the 50s and Tandy patterns sold today.I really liked the look and size of this thing, but it did need some bling. I made a little leather template to space the spots and put them on using a leather mallet and dinky screwdriver to punch the holes. It wasn't as grueling as it sounds once I got a rythme going.
