Hey again guys. I am still selling down a friends collection for him and he has decided to let one of his S&W K's go. This is a 14-4, pined 8 3/8" barrel K serial number 31K5227. I don't know the born on date or what all the markings on the grip part of the frame are for. This one looks like it was fired VERY little. The recoil shield has no marks on it and the front of the cylinder shows very little wear. The top strap at the barrel has a little residue but no cutting. Of course a .38 Spl. wouldn't do much in that area unless it was fired a lot with many hot loads probably.
Lets see if I remember how to post pics. ANY info you guys can come up with will be a big help. There is some holster wear at the muzzle, sorry to say it was stored in a shoulder holster.

i would say around the fall of 78' but its kinda hard to narrow down because smith has a wide serial number range from 78-79. starting with 25K001 at the first of 78' and ending with 56K9999 at the end of 79'. anyone please correct my if im wrong.
