I meant to post this days ago. Anyway, here in CC-land--our choices for Bacon seems to be limited to just a few brands like: Oscar Meyer, Black Hawk? Great Value, and a few others. I grew up with Roeglein (SP?) but do not see it on the shelves anywhere here in town. That brand was my favorite as I was growing up--had great flavor, cooked perfectly, didnt stick to pan unlike (and im not mentioning names here--names like Oscar Meyer) but the Black Hawk brand I bought cooked well, wasnt paper thin unlike the name I refuse to mention like (Oscar Meyer) which is almost tasteless.
Since I started cooking for the first time in years-instead of living out of the box and various packages of processed ****--that ive had for years, so I sorta "lost" the feel for cooking and what tasted good. Im more used to restaurant cooking like at Cracker Barrel.
That said, what brands that are national brands-do you guys cook? We are limited here on Meat Markets that are easily for me to get to-or I would go there.
End of rant.
