If you head to Newport, there's Gary's Handy Lunch, Bishops Diner, or the Blue Plate Diner. I'm pretty sure they're open year round.
Down in Wakefield there's the Breakfast Nook II. I wonder where the rest are?
They have great eggs Benedict with asparagus.
I'd drive down there on weekends just to get out of Newport for a while

I very seldom go to Newport, I grew up on the Island, I do go to the Nook now and them, I like Phil's on Main St and our local LGS is just a few doors down.

You're probably right. But I just can't eat eggs in any form without toast...or tortillas.

Ha ha--me either. Oh and, if you or anyone is interested? I found a large spatula being sold at Bed, Bath and Beyond for about $8 or so bucks. The quality is not what I expected but-not bad. Anyway, its specially made for cooking Omelets and Pancakes.

Like gas here did this week, bacon will probably jump up an extra 50 cents per pound.
