Bad Day at the Range

Way to many bad things happening that involve guns and in all these cases mental cases. The anti gunners are going to have a field day with this stuff we need to be prepared by joining the NRA or anyother group that represents our right to have arms. Thanks Larry

The range where this murder/suicide took place is open to the public and I went there two times a couple of years ago. First time a laser beam came across me from my right. I looked at the shooter in the next booth and he had his pistol pointed at me while he was examining his sight. The second time I went there a guy was teaching an old woman, probably late seventies, to shoot and she was hitting the ceiling tile. I have never gone there again. I actually know of a convicted felon that was shooting there with a friend of his a couple of years ago.

That range prompted me to join our private club. We have certified RSO's and require that all members complete the club course before being admitted to membership. And all members are responsible for the actions of other members. If we see a fellow shooter making any mistake, and we all may upon occasion, we bring it to their attention. It is a fun and safe place to shoot.

Both clubs that I belong to are private clubs. Members can bring guests though. They are responsible for their guests. I would not shoot at a public range if given the option to shoot at a private club. Not snobbery, but because of everyone being on the same page with the range rules, and safety.

I'm a member of another forum and there's actually video of the mother shooting her son then she goes off camera.

Some of the video is here, though the news cut out the actual shot. Her kid is the guy in blue on the left. I feel for the guy in the next lane, he didn't know *edited* happened.

The video I saw didn't cut it out. She walked up right behind her son, put the gun to this head and he dropped, then she walked off camera.

She did not walk off// she put the gun in her mouth and pulled the trigger..
