i bought a model 60 for 450 dollars from JDW1029 and within 24 hours I called him and told him it was not excellent as he stated and I did not want a price adjustment, i just did not want the pistol, but to return it for a refund. It looks like a dremel too ran loose inside the trigger guard, there are numurous sideplate scratches, the area near the hammer on top of the sideplate are heavily dinged. The Jinks letter was not in there as promised. jdw1029
responded by saying his brother an expert graded the pistol, and that he did not have the funds to give me a refund now, and that he wanted the ammunition back that he sent with the pistol 21 lead hollowpoints back(i still dont know if that was illegal to send with a handgun). I told him i would wait for the refund since he had a cash flow problem. In the next week, he kept asking me for an address for the Jinks letter and I kept telling him not to send the letter if I was returning the pistol. BUT i never received an FFL until about 10 days later. Then he became very irate and said "look, you are keeping the pistol, you are a difficult man to deal with. transaction closed. He sent me 3 e mails within 3 minutes. PM me and i will forward them to you. That alone shows anger. he has a cash flow problem that motivates him not to act properly. I caution all forum members to insist on an unconditional no firing inspection. Then this seller has the audacity to accuse me of altering the firearm. Why would i do that within 24 hours of receipt? Here are the pictures which speak for themselves. If any of you want this e mails, just pm me. I dont think anyine should be stuck with a misrepresented gun and them be accused that I as the buyer drug it behind a pickup and dinged it all up. Many of you know me and never had a problem in a transaction. This seller has no posts except these sales.
This seller has no posts except selling this particular one and another one just like it. Beware, Beware, Beware
here is what a private message looked like- i copied and pasted the text when i saw him selling another one or preselling my gun since it was the same model
he says here
"You know what? Since you are being so hard to deal with you just keep the gun. I have sent you my address via email. That gun was appraised by a professional law enforcement officer who also owns a gun business. He priced it and rated it. He recommended I do not refund you because the gun is not as bad as you represent it. The NY marking is what warrants the price, not the condition (as you state). So you just keep it and I recommend you not be so hard to deal with in your future transactions...."
