Will a J frame or L frame barrel fit a K frame?

No sir. The fit (thread/size) of the barrels is different on each of the frames.

Barrel thread sizes:

J: .500" X 36
K: .540" X 36
L: .562" X 36
N: .670" X 36

Then there's the frame differences that will put the barrel lug for the extractor rod in the wrong place.
