barrel makers for 3rd gen pistols

Still working the details, should knock around approximately $100 off the initial price.

I forgot to figure in shipping costs for the materials and so forth, so I will have to work out the numbers for the barrel/bushing price again. It should not add much though, maybe $10.

I am getting ready to redeploy back to home station in a couple of days, so expect to hear more toward the end of next week. I'll have the new pricing for just the parts, minus the fitting fees.

The only guns I will attest to these barrels and bushings working for is the 3rd gen pistols mentioned. 4506/1006 or the 5906/4006, depending on which we go with first.

Beyond that I won't say one way or the other, buy at your own risk. I am simply trying to put this deal together to get some barrels for myself, and those that want the best they can get for these pistols.

My business is not associated with this transaction at all.

Well I took the barrel out of my 4506 and switched it with the barrel out of my 745, fit was the same. So depending on final price I would be interested in a barrel and bushing set in 45acp caliber.

A buddy of mine made a tap for the Briley bushing retainer, as I put a barrel and bushing in an extra super 9 slide, the metal got real thin under the front site dovetail, but is working fine. Would the barrels be 5" and able to be cut for 5906?

OK, barrels will not be one off sizes, if this goes thru. If we do a 5906 barrel it will be 5906 size, it is to costly to do one or two out of a batch in different sizes, not to mention Briley won't do it anyway, to much of a PITA. If we went 5" all the way around, it adds more expense for other members to get them cut down.

Bad news is the price is more than planned. I was mistaken and the barrel fitting will be an additional charge, so the total price of a barrel would be about $405, plus associated shipping costs.

Provided I can get the interest I will still run the buy, and will order the barrel/bushing set, allowing folks to get the bushing installed and barrel fitted when it suits them better financially.

At the moment I am leaning toward the 4506 barrels first, unless I get enough feedback otherwise.

I am still looking at another option for the barrels, but it will not include the bushings, just a top notch barrel. It won't be as good as the barrel bushing set up from Briley, but it will be an improvement.
