Barrel plug screws for Model 41

I've ordered 4 plug screws for a Model 41 barrel about 8 months ago.. S&W only sends one at a time. At this rate it will take over a year to get 4 plug screws.. I have gotten 2 to date. Does anyone know the thread size so I can order from Brownell's ? Thanks

Go to a Home Depot or Lowes and check it yourself or see if they have a thread checker you can try it on. Gun shops with a gun smith can check it as well. Brownell's has a screw checker that is quite usable even for other projects.

I'm not certain, but I used the scope base mount screw plugs that came out of my Ruger American Rimfire bolt action rifle. Threads matched perfectly and were also the correct length. I just got lucky.

The thread size should be 6-48.
