They have been selling a few used collectible and high-end guns in their headquarters store in Springfield, MO store for many years. They are in a separate room with antique furniture, and some African safari-type clothing and leather accessories.

Years ao our Bass Pro had used rifles, then the stopped selling them. Trigger locks and chained to the display. Not much you can tell about them. All sales final.
Have not been to BP for a LONG time. Nice place to visit and nice restaurant but to expensive for me,

Their prices are usually insane. I have asked several times, "what's your best price on this gun?" And I received a decent price.

I thought Cabelas had bought Bass Pro, or the other way around, so it's no surprising BP is selling Cabelas stuff.

There's a Bass Pro 18 miles east of me and Cabelas 5 minutes south of me. I've shopped the Cabelas since they opened maybe 14 yrs. ago. The Cabelas shares a parking area with a Super WM opened maybe 4 years ago. The Bass Pro takeover has eliminated them for anything other than the occasional gun for me. Cabelas brand clothing was pretty friggen nice. I've got canvas shirts I bought there early on that show no signs of wear. Bass Pro Redhead stuff now in Cabelas is nothing more than high priced junk. Walmart next door has similar quality clothing. Cabelas has got a policy that dictates the employee that sells you the gun has to stay with you through the NIC's check and register ring up and final sale. That way all employees are trained in every aspect of the inspection thru finale sale process. Seemingly a wise approach to manpower utilization. Unfortunately the "Gun Library" where 95% of the used gun reside only has a single employee assigned to it . So assuming a complete used gun sale from inspection to final sale takes 20 mins you could wait an hour to finally lay you hands on gun if theres a couple guys ahead of you. Appraisals on guns also are a function of the gun library guy and take forever because most of you reading this have more gun value knowledge than the gun library guy.

If they sell with the same policies and outrageous prices that Cabelas does they can go pound sand. They won't even take a trigger lock off a gun for you to fully inspect it.

That is like buying a used car that not only can you not test drive, they won't unlock the door or open the hood for you to investigate.

I have a Bass Pro a little closer than the local Cabelas.

IF Bass Pro only has Cabelas' unsellable guns, then they might as well skip the middle man and send them out to be melted down. The local Cabelas has mostly junk or used guns priced higher than new.

Bass Pro near Me had( haven't been there in a long time ) a Gun Library like room. Lots of high end used guns for sale at ridiculous prices. Had a snot nosed kid working there that was clueless as to what was there. He walked over to Me and remarked that " this is some really nice stuff, huh?" I replied that I had better stuff in My basement. If BP is going to deal in used guns they had better find knowledgeable people to work there.

There's a Bass Pro only a couple of miles from me. The nearest Cabela's was 75 miles. So I really never knew much about them.
My local Bass Pro is a bit higher priced than other stores, but they do have an excellent selection. I've never bought a gun there, but do buy other supplies. I'll be interested to see what they have and the prices if they start selling used guns.

I'm what you might call a "new" guy. I don't usually like to buy anything used especially cameras, cars, computers, mattresses, and ESPECIALLY GUNS.

Only from a friend would I purchase any of those depending on how much I know about it's history.

I was at our local Cabela's today and outside the entrance to the Gun Library, they have reinstalled one small section of double rack for pre-owned long guns, populated with six sorry rifles.
Before Bass Pro took over there were four full aisles of pre-owned long guns.

Well, with regards to used guns you are really missing out on untold opportunities by not participating in the used gun market. Some of my most prized firearms I bought used . . . but not from a big box store.

I remember a catfish that we fileted and had for lunch, then a couple of hours later noticed that it was trying to squirm out of the trash bucket. Made a heck of a racket with all the beer cans on top of him.

I don't recall any bass that required a gun to take care of, but we never know what we'll run into in this world.

At the local Gander, I stop by every so often. Once in a while, there is an awesome deal. But most of the time, I'll even ask them.. what did your smoke when you priced this?!
