Batteries

Inova does list beam range and power of their various models. I have two and like them very much. The little bugger takes just one AA battery, and is very bright and seems rugged. The design has won museum styling awards

My son has two, and liked them very well in Iraq. (And since.)

I think that Inova deserves more press.

Well, I did a bit of computer research...

It looks as though now, ASNI has a standards list for flashlights. I think it will be interesting to see if the most expensive flashlight brands will jump on board so product can finally be compared directly instead of all the double-talk they seem to distribute.

I go through a lot of batteries in my work.

Two strobes for the cameras (eight AA bats each), three flashlights for various needs (six D bats, 2 C bats, four AA bats), a talkie (four AA bats), two PTP radios (four AA bats each), a roller wheel (9 volt bat), a lazer pointer two AAAA bats) and a few other things.

During the last 10 years I have tried all brands of batteries. Naturally the life of batteries are related to the amount of use they get. My work is fairly consistent year round and in my experience, the Duracell lasts longer for me.

Was in the CVS drugstore this morning and they have their brand of alkalines on sale 2 for 1. I was able to get 24 AA's and 24 AAA's. for $7.00 each.

Make sure you dispose of used batteries correctly. For instance dead D cells are especially appreciated by the prisoners at the local jails :D
