After attending the SWCA Symposium in Glendale Az., I had the opportunity to take some photographs of the engraved guns in my collection before returning them to their nice warm and cozy home. I bought my first one back 1987 and my most recent one in May of this year. The first two are Class 'A' factory Engraved Pre-39's either Engraved by Russel J. Smith or Virginia LeBlanc. The next two are Factory Engraved Model 39-2's by Tommy Freyburger. All 4 guns came with their original boxes and tools. I still think older is better and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do.

Very nice

I think I see a pattern to your collecting :D

Mark, It's a sickness. FYI, pre 39 s/n 2045 was Sal's. I first met him in 2017 at the Symposium and I had 2152 with me. He insisted I display the "twins" together. Needles to say, I was very pleased to acquire the gun.

There are quite a few of us that miss Sal.

It is always wonderful to see that some of the more unique pieces end up in good homes after a collector passes away.

All of my factory engraved Smith and Wessons are revolvers.

Rich:

I love all of them, but the two Freyburger guns really speak to me. Great Photos and even better guns.

Thanks for sharing, both on the forum and at the Symposiums. Looking forward to Tulsa this year.:)
