Been reading a book mentioning the Marines and the Pusan Perimeter.

After ww1 Truman did not like the Marines, He tried to disband them a couple of times....
When Korea broke out he ask MacArthur what he needed And he told him Marines, Truman about had a fit.

Wasnt Truman an Army Artillery officer? He should have known better. And apparently interservice bad feelings existed with him for some reason?
