Beer Snacks?

What's your favorite snack to have with a cold one?

Right now I'm in Texas in a hotel sippin' on a Lone Star (when in Rome, right ) and eating some ranch flavored Corn Nuts on the side. Pretty good!

What do you like to snack on with your beer?

I live in Wisconsin. Nothing beats a beer and deep fried cheese curds.

Blue cheese and crackers with a Vermont double or triple IPA, an IPA with tons of hops and flavor that'll hold it's own with the strong blue cheese.

I would give this two likes, mostly for the Oktoberfest Shiner (yum). The Spidey is a nice add. I hope Lone Star has gotten better than the last time I was in SA.

Rest assured - Lone Star is the same as you remember it. Very popular with funeral homes. Just kidding - it's still good, but it's a acquired taste. Shiner is far better.

Beer Nuts were invented and are still made in the town where I live. We have a local bike trail that goes right behind their location. When they are cooking nuts, the smell is wonderful. When I got out of the Army, I worked helping vets finding jobs. Beer Nuts was always good at giving vets preference in their hiring.

I am on my way to exercise at Illinois Wesleyan, in a beautiful facility that the Shirk family donated. They have sold a lot of those nuts over the years.

Whistling Pig Hefeweizen (For you flatlanders, a "whistle pig" is a marmot!) with a slice of lemon and a strong cheese with crackers, elk sausage with German (or home-made) mustard, HOT salsa and chips! Oh, jalapeno poppers!

Acquiring a taste for bier while station in Nurnberg, Germany for 31 months, my favorite accompaniment is buttered pumpernickel bread with Nurnberger Brats (I use Johnsonville Original breakfast sausages when I can't get the real thing). My friends and I use to sit at sidewalk tables drinking bier, eating brats and brot while watching the frauleins parade past.

If money were no problem? Fried clams, scallops, shrimp, calamari, etc.

Chinese food is always a good way to wrap up a night of drinking.

Apparently you have never had a beer float. Personally I have yet to find a beer to pair with tuna salad sandwiches.
