Okay, so there have been all kinds of threads about everyone's favorite spirits and wines, but not one about beer. I'm not talking about Budweiser and Natural Light. I'm talkin' about GOOD beer. I love Heineken, but lately I've been expanding my horizons. I've sampled Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, Elliot Ness Amber, Steelhead India Pale Ale and Double Pale Ale, Fat Tire, Blue Moon Belgian Wheat, and Sweet Water. Also tried Natty Green's Gold. All were great. So, what's your favorite beer?

Now you're talkin'. There is a beer called Hog Heaven that sells up here for about six bucks a bottle. It's a good sized bottle and the beer is outstanding, as well as strong. It's rated at 10% alcohol. There's another, darker, beer from the same brewery called "Reverend" it's thicker and richer, and at 9.5%, it hits the spot.
 
Session lager (red label) and if you are in the area where you can get yuengling (sp)? Get it.

Deschutes Brewery Black Butte Porter fan here.....and Elysian Brewery has a few good ones too. There is also one up here made by Georgetown Brewery called Mannys, and it is everything a beer should be!
 
I will choose ale when possible. Arrogant ******* Ale is good, followed with Alaska Pale ale.

edit; the auto censor doesn't like the beer's name, so just go with a word meaning "un-fathered son".

Nice. Tonight I've sampled Smuttynose Robust Porter and Ranger Pale Ale. The Smuttynose was VERY thick but very good. I'm not a fan of dark beers, but this one was good. I also sampled a Blue Moon that was not a Belgian White. All very tasty.

Sol beer man myself. When my sister in law comes to town, she brings me a case of Cusquena Beer...Andean nectar of the God's if you ask me.

Ok, Lite beer of all kind do not seem like beer to me. If Natty Light was all there was I would never drink another beer. (You will never catch me with a light beer, never)
Budweiser? I don't see how anyone could have a conversation about beer and declare Budweiser not a "Good beer". It might not be one you like, but still a brand known world wide.
Had a Negra Modelo a while ago with a slice of cold pizza. I would have been just as happy with a Bud or a Miller High Life or MGD.

Shiner Bock. I also like Shiner Black but usually can't find it here.
I drank some Moose Drool one time. They got the name right on that one. It tasted like it came from a mooses ^$$.
