Although I'm a home brewer, on occaision I will buy Yeungling's Lager or Lager Light, depending on how tight the belt buckle is.

I don't drink much anymore, but Shiner Bock, Dos Equos Amber, Foster's and Coors, in that order. No light beer here. You have to drink three to get the same number of calories!

My wife's dad passed away a couple of days ago. When we got the news, the family got together at his house. They asked me to pick up some cheap beer so we could drink one for Ray, who was not a big drinker, but liked a cold one now and again.
I picked up some of this:
Not expensive, but not that cheap either. The brothers needled me a bit for aiming too high, but they were glad to drink it.
Grain Belt used to be brewed in Northeast Minneapolis. August Schell, from New Ulm, brews it now.

The best boss I ever had was an expert student of beers. He read everything he could on beer and sampled new beers where ever he traveled. When he gave partys at his home for his employees he would have blind beer ratings by the guests. Often the cheaper locally brewed beers would win. My favorite quote from him is " Drinking light beer is like checking your pulse while having sex ".
