There’s been a lot of discussion about aluminum beer cans. On this thread.

Has there been any uncouth wine distribution in aluminum cans? I hope not, but nothing surprises me nowadays.

If you had ever been to Wildflecken you would have found another great beer made by monks.

That's the one that pushed me over the edge and made me a home brewer.

Yes ... actually can dwelling wine has seen spotted in the wild
I can my homebrew ... though it's a 5 gallon can with ball lock interconnects :D

Had not bought any in a while.
But like everything else seems like there
has been an increase.

So...your choice.
Budget or Premium ?

Trying to stay away from the craft beer. Was reading info that hops produce estrogen. If I have to have a beer I stay with the regular stuff. Nothing like a PBR.:D

Saving a centuries old brewery in Germany...

Some time ago, my wife and I were enjoying some great German food and German beer in a terrific restaurant we discovered. The waiter told us a story we had never heard before.

It seems that during WWII when the allies were bombing the spit out of Germany, an historic place was in the danger zone. It was what was reputed as the earliest brewery in Germany, and still brewing fine beer after centuries. I wish I could remember the name.

At any rate, our waiter said that Hitler did one of the two things in his life that was decent. First, he got in touch with the allies and asked them to please spare this historic brewery. And the allies indeed avoided bombing the old brewery.

The second thing he did that was decent? The waiter maintained that it was when he shot himself in the head with a Walther PPK in 1945...
