Although any k frame .38 would suffice, I'm going to say my trusty 3913. It has yet to fail with any ammo I feed it,just goes bang every time

I trust it enough to let the wife carry it as her personal sidearm.

No problem answering this one. It is the 586, 4", in either blue or nickel. I have both, the blue being still in the box. To me, as a former
special ops officer, then a disigner and manufacturer of bank armored vehicles in Asia, there is nothing that really beats the trusty S&W 586 (686 if you like stainless, which I don't). The only handgun that even comes close is the mighty Tok, with steel core rounds (now
banned in every country outside of the PRC, and damn hard to find there). The only thing I would consider as a substitute is.357 Sig, but try to find some of the ammo out of the US.

This is kinda like if I had only the one gun question thing...My pick would be a 4" Mountain Gun chambered in .44 mag.

Cant leave you hanging as the only one picking a semi auto.

While I like model 58s most of all, I'd take any N or K frame, 4" barrel or less, pre-MIM in any caliber.

Have to be my blued 586 4" with Herrett Roper grips,superb 357. Had one when they first came out. Traded it off and was lucky enough to find another about a year ago. This one stays:

Well, somebody did "sort of mention" the Model 13 with a three inch Barrel. This one:

It just happens to have the one Major thing that the Model 13 lacks - a shrouded Ejector Rod and is a Model 19-3 with fixed sights.

I vote with jframe. The 3" Model 13, or the 3" M65. Although I would be stubborn and take my M29 or 629 4". Just cuz I'm a macho hard head.

10-6 @" BDL , will do the job not to big or not to small. If you carry on a belt 686 6" will take care of anything and fun to shoot ammo is not hard to get and can shoot 38's also

Hi everyone. New member, first post. I've got to vote for Model 13-2 3" blue. Probably the best all-around carry weapon of all-time, IMHO of course.

You know what,you guys are making it very difficult for me to sleep at night sometimes.I CANT SLEEP because I start thinking of "What if I could only have one gun?'' What is the best all around gun I have? Which gun do I have the most Ammo for.? I really like my .44 but my M66-1 is nice and compact? Do I go with a my 4013TSW or my 1911? I STILL DONT KNOW!!!!! AHHHH! THen it starts with rifles?? It never ends LOL!!!!
