What your opinion for the best all around Smith? Back packing,home defense,hunting,target shooting.The one I take out 90% of the time is my 10-6.This is my choice for the best all "arounder"

Sir, FWIW, my 4-inch Model 25-9 (.45 Colt) has served me well in all the roles you describe. I suppose a .357 or .44 mag would be more versatile, but I still prefer the old .45.

Looks like alot of people think a 29 or k frame 357 is whats best.
I got to agree!
A mod29 can be used for about anything you would want a handgun to do.
And a mod19 can be stretched to do just about as much with a smaller gun.
