Best gun lubricant

Uh oh !! Me having major flash backs on a motorcycle forum on whats the best oil. Lol it got very heated and ugly

A vote here for Mpro7 Gun Oil as well as Mpro7 cleaner. No smell with either, and the oil has done well. The newer "LPX" has a cleaning agent to repel dirt. Haven't used it yet. It's not cheap but oil goes a long way. Have yet to find the perfect cleaner or oil but Mpro's as good as I've found and the lack of smell is a big plus.
Good oil I've been using it for probably about 10 years now a small bottle goes a long way

For every day use I have found no better than G96 synthetic CLP (yellow bottle). It protects and lubricates just as well as Break-free CLP but I find it actually does the cleaning a bit better. When a gun has been really shot a lot and is filthy, nothing beats Hoppes 9 solvent - followed with the G96 after it's clean. For an M1 Garand I use Lubriplate and for a few other rare scenarios that I use grease, I use RIG +P grease. For longterm storage - nothing beats Rig Universal (a little heavier consistency than the Rig +P).

I use whatever is handy, currently it's a small bottle from Ed Brown. Almost anything will work and I have used everything from 3 in 1 oil to the clp's or Triflon, to the latest miracle oil and heve never had an issue with any of them except some smell worse.
