~~Best Long Range Rifle Scope~~ Please Help!

Hi All,

I am looking at some long-range rifle scope and wanted some insight on brand quality and any other info would be greatly appreciated. I want to shoot 100+ maybe up to 200. The following have generated interest: Note- looking to spend undr $135

Barska AC11562 6-24x50 IR Green Mil-Dot Rifle Long Range Scope

For your 15-22? Might need to find a more accurate gun to go with that scope first.

15-22 will do fine off bags at those ranges....200 is a bit of a poke but if dialed in and you know how the rifle shoots you'll be fine.

I saw the title of the thread and was afraid I was going to see a 15-22 wearing a Zeiss or a Schmidt and Bender.

I dont think you need the "Best long range scope" for any .22.

Pretty much even the cheapest 3-9X40 will be able to see farther than any .22 can reach accurately and repeatably.

Just my opinion but dont waste a bunch of money or time trying to find "the best rifle scope" for a .22 just buy a descent 3-9X40 and it will do you right.

No reason to not use a scope on these for shooting past 100yds. I used a Mueller APV 4.5x14 40mm on my CZ 452 that works surprisingly well for the money. Eye relief is frustrating for beginners at 14x, but I never had a problem with it. I just moved it onto the 15-22 but haven't had the chance to use it yet. The Millet DMS is a bit more money and an entirely different concept (1-4x), but I used it effectively against steel plates out to 200yds.

Primary Arms has some good, cheap scopes. Again, can't recommend the Mueller APV enough. I got mine from Mizzou Mule or something like that.

What he said about the Mueller scope. I have two of them on 22s. Great scopes for the money. About $130.00 with free shipping at most places.

If I had to make a desicion between a Barska and an NC Star I would choose open sights! Serioulsy stick with a real name brand scope and not a cheap ***.

Nc star makes a good product and back it with a lifetime warranty. People that have had to use the warranty sing the praises of their customer support so not sure what your talking about. I own an NC star scope and love it, well constructed and holds zero very well

I bought a NC Star red dot that failed the second time out. Emailed CS and they promptly sent me info on returning it. I'm sure I'll have to pay the 10 bucks they require for an over 90 day purchase since I bought mine from a vendor at a gun show and have no receipt. When it worked, it worked like a champ. Problem was the dial for turning on the red/green dot just came loose and wouldn't shut off and would only show red, no matter what the setting.

I have the Millett 1-4 x 24 DMS, Multi Coat Red-Dot Rifle Scope & I love it. I haven't tried shooting anything past 100 or so yards though, but that's not saying it can't!

i have a barska 2x and its been holding strong for 2 years, and for 25 bucks shipped and a lifetime warrenty i would say its its pretty dang good.
