Someone here posted a set of smooth elk antler, from a maker in Colorado. Might be the prettiest grips I can remember. The lighter color grips on Nickel or stainless guns always look great IMHO.

I like fancy wood stocks on nickel S&Ws, preferably of a medium color. Dark is better than too light.

For me, when it comes to decorative handgun stocks, other than fancy wood there is only real ivory - and ivory belongs on a blued gun. But, to each, his own.

It's hard to beat NICE factory Presentation Targets:

Here's a pic....
I've gotten real partial to cokes! Found this set cheap (they were burned in a fire) and spent some time trying to save them from the trash bin. They feel great...make that really great...on this 1961 Mod 27 shooter. I like dark wood on shiny guns!

I don't have any nickel guns yet. When I do they are going to get this pair of ebony grips from kurac. They are shown on my 27-2

Real pearl, of course, would be better but these are Ajax faux pearl.

Some consider pearl "pimpish" (Patton's comment the most famous) but at one time pearl was favored on a number of Southwestern lawmen's handguns.

I'll let you be the judge. 3 1/2" 27-2 with Executioner Grips.

I've been sportin' this'n (3 1/2" Pre-27) with Keith Brown grips and I'm gettin' along with 'em just fine :D

I would like a darker smooth rosewood or ebony stocks.

Me too. I don't HAVE a nickel shorty Mod 27 (a tear falls) but rosewoods on any nickel revolver is a winner!
