Just wondering if there was a best speedloader for a S&W 629?

Thanks and Merry Christmas to all.....:D

I used nothing but Safariland my whole LE career, 66, ,686, 629. The best by far. I used to carry 4 of them in a quad pack. I've seen a fair number of guys using HKS drop their rounds when in a hurry when they twisted the knob. If you use the Safariland loaders you will never want to use the HKS. They are a little tricky to load at first but you'll learn to do it easily. I'm talking about standing on the firing line at range. They were common with the cops I worked with in Mo. but here in Fl I've run into plenty of HKS guys who've never seen them and are impressed by them. Try them.

Safariland COMP II.... NADA

Called Safariland and the COMP II is not made for Cal 44:mad:

I've used both Safariland and HKS and prefer the Safariland by far.

The Comp I is available for the 629. It's a bit of a pain to lock the rounds in place compared to the comp II but IMO is worth it over the HKS. To be fair, locking the rounds in place in the speedloader is much easier on the HKS.

The original Comp I is the only ones I've ever used. They work great. You don't need a big knob, well not on your speed loader. What's great about them is they can't be released too early. They only release when the rounds are properly inserted in the chambers and only require a push.
