I received my "red eagle" grips yesterday for my newly acquired Mark II Ruger. Took a couple more photos to share.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

One of these days I will get a new battery for the Canon and learn how to take better photos.

Really like the grips. Is the hammer used for what I think it's used for ? And by the way,,, nothing wrong with your pics at all.

I have the same exact gun in blue. I will never part with it. Ever. And I haven't taken it apart since it took me hours to get it back together. I just blast the insides out with some break free aerosol spray.

I have had mine apart several times. It's kinda like learning a new tune on the guitar, you gotta play it a lot to get it right.

In fact I had it apart today, looking at how it works. I put the main spring housing back on the frame without the barrel, then I could see more clearly how the parts work when assembled.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

No doubt about it, the Ruger Mk II is one of the finest .22 handguns around, in my opinion. I don't know how long I've had mine. I bought it new many years ago and have often tucked it in my war bag when I've packed into deer camp or elk camp. There have been times, also, when I've been on a pack trip where I would waste away an afternoon by plinking targets around base camp.

I've put a set of Hogue wood grips on mine to replace the plastic originals. A fun gun.:)

I like the looks of those grips, but my play money was/is running low when I bought the plastic one. I've got to get back to the range and see if the last trigger tweaking works ok. I have removed all the over travel on the trigger that I dare.

Have a blessed day,

Leon
