BG 2.0 (self-induced) Problem

Just sacrificed mine for science.

It's the same as other striker fires, if you want to edit the solution into your original post to help anyone that may find this thread looking for help.

Push slide forward and hold in the position it would usually rest with slide down and the barrel and spring in place, ensure take down lever is swung down, pull trigger, and the slide comes right off the front like normal.

THANK YOU SELDON14 !!!
Imma take your word for it !!!
I have updated the first post

Thanks for doing that !

Takedown lever down? Would not have guessed that.

ETA:

Of course, takedown lever, not the sear release I was thinking of for a day or so. Oops.:o

I, for one, was simply dazzled the op got the rear sight, and end plate, off, while the slide was on the gun. I have a hard enough time, removing/moving the sights, with the slide off the gun.

hahahah hmc….necessity is the mother of invention…
Tried it in a vice…that's a big no-go…
Placed a towel down ON the top of the vice and had a "helper" hold it whilst I drifted out the rear sight…the end cap literally fell out.

Shot a box of shells thru it today…I really like this gun!!!
