When shooting it runs fine. If I slightly pull the slide back it won't completely return. Put new galloway spring and rod in it and seems slightly worse than the original. Anyone else have this ? Will it break in through time ? Should have mentioned it's waaay worse with a loaded mag then with the mag removed. Thanks

Perfectly normal. There's not enough spring tension to push the slide forward and push the barrel into lockup. With a loaded mag, you also have the friction from the rounds pushing up on the slide.

If you pull the slide all the way back and release it, and it fully returns into battery, you're fine. Make sure it's lubed properly.

If the slide gets stuck moving forward back to it fully seated position from a slight movement rearward, like a chamber check, something is mechanically catching or blocking the forward movement to its fully seated position.

Was the slide sticking with the OEM guide rod and spring assembly?

The Galloway option on their website is a -10%, OEM, and +10%. I assume that is the amount of "spring pressure"?

You might want to confirm that Galloway sent you the right guide rod.

That condition does not occur with my BG2.

If I pull the slide back enough to do a chamber check and it does not return to the fully seated position, THAT is a no-go!!

The Pic is with the original guide rod and spring. After playing around with it a bit more I have noticed the problem goes away if I pull the trigger on an empty chamber. After the trigger is pulled the slide locks up tight.

I'm a long ways from a firearm expert, but I would NOT accept that condition on ANY striker pistol I own.

With the current highly published history of issues with the BG2, this is not surprising.
