BG 380 larger capacity magazine?

Magguts has it new product out for the BG380. At $21.95 (free shipping now) you change out the internal parts of your stock magazine and get 1 more round into the stock magazine housing. Your BG380 becomes 7+1 instead of 6+1. 8 rounds available instead of 7 is a better number for me.

Don't know what's with me but for $24 I could buy another mag and have 13 rounds instead of 7 and keep one in my pocket when carrying, or at the range get a 10 or 15 round for less then $24. If one round made a difference to me I would make sure I had another mag with me, but I guess for some 1 extra round could make them feel more secure.

Purchased the Magguts 7 round magazine spring assembly.

I could not install it properly. (Not as easy as the video on the internet MagGuts | The Last Round's On Us! )

Only got 6 rounds in it after assembly, empty mag would not hold slide open.

Has anyone ever received any 10 round mags for the .380? I ordered 2 for my Father in July and just got a notice that they were canceling all outstanding orders...Are they still in business? Thanks.Kyle

I also purchased a 10 & 15 round Pro Mag magazine for Natchez Shooting.

Both magazines would not feed properly.

I just ordered 2 of the 10 rd mags from promag....sure hope they work out. Anyone used them? Comments?
Thanks.

I've never used a ProMag product, so take this for what it's worth, but it seems like there are a lot of complaints about them.

I think 6 rounds in the stock mag plus a back up mag should do for almost any civilian encounter. If you are in a sustained gun fight, then you probably should have more than a BG380 anyway. :p

Look how many years we all depended on revolvers with 6 rounds, and now most revolvers have 5 rounds. The main reason I like the 8 round magazine for my Shield (and it's not a pocket gun, for me) is that it gives me a better grip. I'm not worried about the extra round capacity.

Here is an image of my 10rd promag in the BG-380

does anyone have a picture of the 10 round actually in the gun? Id love to see what it looks like but can't find any pictures showing the magazine installed.

Extended capacity mag for the BG 380

Okay folks here is the deal on the larger capacity mag for the 380. I have a friend who is in the business of guns and accessories. Pro-Mag is one of the bigger sellers of these type magazines. He tells me that every one he has sold has jammed so he doesn't recommend it. He has that gun and so do I so I take his word for that. If its fit in the hand just go buy an extender. This concealed carry after all and not a fire fight.
