I did everything S&W told me to do and my BG still has the same problems ie: Light strikes/FTF, slide lock after last shot and racking itself when mag is inserted.
Don't if I should send it back to S&W or trade it on something else. From all I have read they are either a peach or a lemon and now matter how hard you squeeze the lemon you can't get all the juice out.
Any suggestions?

Just came back from test firing the wife's new M&P 380. Between the two of us we had 1 light stirke out of 100 rounds (round 17). She ejected the round which I put in another mag and it fired. Other than that, it was great. The trigger takes a little getting used to, but is very predictable once you're used to it. The groups weren't quite as tight as my Shield at 7 yds., but not that bad.

I have the M&P BG380 and have had similar issues.

The trigger seems to be a little finicky if you pull it slowly.
I have since installed the Galloway Precision trigger, but still find that you still have to make a solid pull for it to be reliable.

For the most part, my slide locks back after last round, but it seems to be a common problem.

I have found that when it does lock back, it is only half locked. If I manually push the slide-lock all the way up, I doesn't slide closed when I insert a new magazine.

I feel your pain. My BG380 w/laser had issues with FTF's and slide not locking back on last shot. Sent it back and they said they they fixed it. After dumping another 200 rds of various hardball and premium defensive ammo (Critical Defense, Remington Ultimate, Sig V-Crown and Speer Gold Dot) the failures to feed were still their. I could not trust it for a concealed carry weapon:mad:. Guess I got a lemon. Sold it 2 weeks ago.

That's what I'm afraid of. I don't want to get it back and spend another 100 bucks or more on ammo and range time to find out it has the same problems I sent it back for. That money can go a long ways toward a different gun.

Kind of bums me out. When the no laser model came out I was excited. It is the perfect sidekick for my Shield. Same functions. After reading many negative reports I think I need to shop around to find a .380 that fits my needs as a sub compact.

I hear you. I spent probably $150 bucks on all types and brands of ammo and it still had the failures to feed...even with harball:mad:. Sold it two weeks ago. The bad thing I really liked it it but it didn't like me:rolleyes:.
