How to bring revolver shooters back to IPSC?

Just imagine, 30 years from now, a bunch of middle aged gen-x'rs dressed up like T.J. Hooker, blues, PR-24's and clamshell holsters. Imagine the RO's look when they channel their inner Jelly Bryce.

Or Dirty Harry!

Maybe instead of IPSC how about IDPA?
Unless the rules changed, IDPA made me dump known empty cases into my hand and put them in my pocket as a "tactical reload." I can see why revolvers are unpopular in that game.

Rules say: A revolver tactical reload is performed during a lull in the action behind cover by opening the cylinder, ejecting the empty brass into the hand, pocketing the brass and any unfired rounds, and then reloading the cylinder using a speed loader, speed strip, or loose rounds. This action ensures the firearm is topped off without leaving the firearm empty for a prolonged period, which is critical for retaining ammunition and completing the stage.

Not all stages use tactical reloads... and the idea is to save the unfired ammo... now if you want to pick the unfired ammo out of the gun and pocket it.. ok by me.. but I can see their rational.

Of course in reality I would just use a New York reload (second gun!)

Reality is sponsorship goes to where the sales are. Go to the LGS, that tiny display section with revolvers only has gray haired geezers looking in. And while they tend to have the disposable income, they also have most of what they need. Want is different but they don't want revolvers with ugly holes in the sides. They also are pretty sick of being the QC person for multi million dollar corporations. So sales lag.
That fits me to a "T". When I do go to the LGS there are virtually no revolvers there. The same with LGS only two, none worth even bothering with anymore. I'm forced to look online, gun shows and travel to other cities to find the revolver I'm looking for. Still no luck.
