I love my BG380 for it's physical size and ability to slip into a pocket or completely disappear in an IWB holster for when it's too hard to conceal my Glock 27.

I've recently been experiencing failures to return to battery, (the next round feeds but the slide stops about 1/4" before full battery). I've fed a mix of PMC and UMC 95 grain FMJ and have had failures with both. I've replaced both recoil springs and magazine springs and still getting the same failures.

If we rule out limp wristing, what are other possible causes? Under-powered/inconsistent ammo? Poor lubrication?

Anyone else face these same issues, are there any reliability fixes?

I had the exact same problem with the umc ammo last week. Went to range today, put 100 rounds of Winchester white box through with zero issues.

Also, btw, the problem was only with umc. I finished up that day with Speer gold dots and WWB with no other issues.

The only other thing besides ammo relation would be checking the Laser Screw. Make sure it isn't backing out a little.

Ammo and the laser screw...had issues with both. White box runs perfectly. Checking the laser screw and applying locktite ended that issue. Gun runs great.

I was going to say laser screw also, based on what I read when I was researching the BG380 before my wife purchased hers.

S&W claims that they've been loctiting the screw and anchor but I don't know at what s/n that began.

Thanks guys. I'll check the laser screw and loctite it tonight.
