You have to read the poster "Travis" a little closer regarding the comments of the vice-president. What seems like pure stupidity to people that actually know firearms like most of us here, will likely come across as factual, to those who do not. The non-firearm people, do not know the difference between a clip and a magazine, semi-auto and automatic, nor even a firearm that is black, as opposed to a true "assualt' weapon............... None of us here, without a multi-thousand dollar tax / fee per year has owned a true, legitimate, automatice ( assualt) weapon of any kind since 1934. ( In the U S A ), I forget this is an international forum.....Remember, the proper marketing can, and does, make us all want a chevy, a coke,or a big mac, and, for many folks, a person in an authority position must be correct, or they would not be there.

and thats the problem b/c its easy for them to take misinformation and make it fact, and then spread it through the media and those that were once on the fence about the issue are force fed lies and misconceptions and soon you have the once uninformed screaming at the top of their lungs that "assault weapons" need to be banned to protect the children from mass murder.

Even more sick then the governments current elitism and gun banning agenda is that they dont give a damn about anyone that was killed in sandy hook b/c it was nothing but a spring board to launch their agenda. The only real tragedy for them is if there is not another mass shooting with death in a timely manner to spread their agenda further and take the "next step" in the gun control process.

Remember now, we are talking about the same Joe Biden who failed a course in law school due to allegations of plagiarism. And was accused of the same thing in his speeches when he was vying with Michael Dukakis for the Demo nomination 20 years ago. Caused him to drop out of the presidential race then. Looks like if Joe isn't stealing his lines from someone else, he apparently emits nothing but stupid.
