I have a DK that has around 6000 rounds through it. Since it was new it has sent the brass 30 or 40 feet, and I have stiffened up the recoil spring 2 lbs to no avail. As far as the trigger goes, I have a preference for this trigger. But I cannot put my finger on what it is. Guys I shoot with hate it. It may be how far through the trigger my digit extends, and how that effects my pull. I personally would not lighten the pull, as I would not want an AD in matches. I have several high end 1911's, yet this one appeals to me. And after 6000 rounds, the wear patterns are just what I want to see. I've traded off Kimbers that were pounded and had unusual wear in the rail area. This speaks well for the build quality. But seriously, Mr. Koenig is not over-seeing the production. They are just a tarted up S&W, with target sights, trigger, hammer and magwell. If you don't want a flat trigger, pick another model of S&W.
