Not really, but I took my 42 year old son who is back in town for the holidays, and never showed any interest in shooting to the range yesterday. First, a long safety discussion followed by basic operation, grip, stance, etc.
His first shot out of my Ruger/Volquartsen 22, dead center followed by four move no worse than nine ring. Ok, enough of the small stuff.
He lives out of state and I planned to send him home with a revolver with instructions to get lot's proper training once he gets back to Texas. Brought a 640 and a Mod 64 3" which are extremely shootable and either make a great simple home defense gun.
He ran about 100 rounds alternating between guns with great results. OK I asked, which one goes home with you? He cannot decide. I guess I lose both of them which is why I posted above I need a new Mod 66 and 69 both in 2-3/4" bbl. as replacements.
To make this even better,
On the way to the range he got a text message from his girlfriend which included a picture of the new Walther CCP 9mm she got for Christmas from a supplier. She knew all the laws in TX and indicated she wanted to get her carry permit ASAP.
