I guess all the shortages in the past were all just panic and never happened? I stopped living under a rock a long time ago.
That is definitely a valid point. But ONLY if it is a 2-way street. For that theory to work in the real world, THEY have to be as dependent on US as we are on THEM.
What essentials are China and Iran dependent on the USA for right now?....
I like how a powder thread becomes a TP thread.
China needs us to buy their excess output. Their economy depends on it. We don't buy it, they have the Great Depression 3.0.
Not sure how Iran got into this.
Long as it's not a beer shortage, I think I'm in good shape.....
Do you honestly believe a gunpowder plant can open up in 3-4 weeks? If so, I have a NFL team to sell you.
Not to mention, under a Democrat Administration the EPA, OSHA & a host of other bureaucratic donkeys will ensure they never turn a profit until they close down.
Democrat Administrations HATE ammo & gun manufacturing plants with a passion. Do you think it's coincidence that S&W moved to TN? Or Remington to Alabama? Or FN to Alabama?
Poo-poohing political realities about firearms, ammo & components is exactly what gun grabbers hope for.
I saw a discussion the other day on Facebook people who were all pissed off because people were panic buying toilet paper ahead of the dock worker strike.
I remember thinking "Did these people learn nothing from covid"?
Similarly, I wonder did people learn nothing from the Obama years and every subsequent panic since?
During the Obama years I decided that I was never going to get caught short on ammo again. I've talked about this multiple times in the past we have an ammo budget.
Even now when we are on a fixed income we have an ammo budget. My Wife puts away so much money from every paycheck and when she finds a good sale on ammunition she buys as much as she can reasonably afford.
During all the covid shortages I told my wife to make note of the things that we needed that were hard to obtain and if it ever eased up to lay in a supply of those things.
I'm not sure why but it frustrates the hell out of me when I see people who have been given ample warning and they refuse to acknowledge it.
If I didn't learn anything else from the last ammo panic I learned that it wasn't the last ammo panic and when happens again I'm not going to say "I told you so" but I'm going to be thinking it.
