Okay everyone. Thanks for all of the help lately. I just ordered a Troy MRF 308 13.8" handguard and low profile gas block. Now that that subject can be put to rest, I need help with a few final things here...

A good but not very expensive bipod that will mount right up to the picatinny rail on the handguard and a good but affordable set of folding iron sights. Thanks everyone.

I like my Magpul MBUS sights. The front sight adjusts for elevation and the rear for windage. It took 17 rounds and a spotter to get it sighted in. Even with about 10 pounds of weight in the Lead Sled Solo, the sled still jumped around a bit.

If your mounting a scope to the rifle, hold off on the BUIS. In all honesty, they are not needed on a hunting rifle. In all the years I've been hunting & shooting, I only had one scope go down on me and that happened while it was in storage. Go figure. Hold off for a bit on the bipod as well. Get the scope, ammo, sling and a couple extra mags and go shoot the rifle. If it turns out you still want or need a bipod, you'll have enough shooting experience to make a better decision
