Email S & W. They got mine to me (after buying a used gun and wondering about the production date) very swiftly. Go to the S&W web-site and email 'em. Most all of us do not have those serial number "translation charts" that tell you the dates for S&W's. They are easy to get for some brands... not so for S&W... at least that has been my experience.

My second edition of the Standard catalog isn't clear on the date but it appears to likely be 1994 - 1996.
