Black Dog 50 rd Mag in Stock Botach

Botach showed 15-22 mags in stock on 1/9. I ordered the max of 3 plus a fore grip. Got an email on 1/14 that they had all shipped w/ one tracking number.

As of yesterday, that USPS tracking number still says "tracking number received" and nothing else.

Later in the day yesterday i got another email with a new tracking number for the fore grip only. It has shipped, but no activity on the other tracking number. I feel I'm about to be Botach'd.

My first order with them will be my last.

And now all of us have learned a new word "Botached". Just when I thought I had heard most of the english language ...... Thanks scopes for posting the pic! Pretty funny!

Never seen a 25-round clip. I've seen lots of 25-round magazines, though. :)

CTD has Black Dog drum in stock. Though of ordering one but decided against it. I'm not a huge fan of CTD myself.

Do youself a favor and order some of the extra bands and dummie rounds; just change a band last night. Left hand still hurts from holding the drum while it was under tension. Finally had to use a C clamp to hold it while putting the dummies in place.

I just got Botach'd.

Botach showed 15-22 mags in stock on 1/9. I ordered the max of 3 plus a fore grip. Got an email on 1/14 that they had all shipped w/ one tracking number.

As of 1/29, that USPS tracking number still said "tracking number received" and nothing else.

Later in the day on 1/29 I got another email with a new tracking number for the fore grip only. It now says in transit, while the other tracking number still just says "tracking information received."

Yesterday, they sent me an email saying the 3 magazines I ordered are on back-order. This was 22 days after I placed my order.

I will never order from Botach again.

i have ordered from them before the craze with no issues on several occasions. sure they have crappy website inventory system, i always called from work, put it on speaker until they answered, then had no issues ordering.
nowadays, i don't know.

I was hung up on 7 times in one day. I would FINALLY get a hold of an actual person, then they would hang up. I finally sent another email, and they cancelled my order. Great customer service!!

Botach. Really?

I was never a fan of the folks that jump in and suggest that you search before you ask a question.

Ok, you win--sit down w/ the beverage of your choice and search Botach. There are several threads that are really worth the drill. Instant credit card charges w/ nearly non-existent credit card credits are the mainstay. Live help that isn't. The check is in the mail. Back orders due tomorrow. Yes, it is in stock. A shill member of this forum that claimed to fix just these problems. And the occasional lucky guy that sings the praises of Botach.

I found them once on gunbroker.com but cannot remember the user name now. As I recall, they had a vendor rating in the 70's or somewhere. Get the picture?

What a thread Phil. I read it and talk about interesting. That thread was back in 2010 and they are still having problems! I think I might offer some insight into why this company does what it does. I used to work in a manufacturing plant before the economy crashed in 2008. They started practicing "lean manufacturing" which they learned from Toyota. What "lean manufacturing" means is that a company carries very little in stock because it costs them money. They want a supply truck to come in and unload. Everything on the truck is sorted and goes right back out the door as a sold product. You never keep any supplies on hand for a "rainy day". This way the inventory does not cost the company money. Now I know you are thinking "well they should have a ton of it if they are going to sell it". You are very much correct but the accountants subtract that inventory every month as "the cost of doing business". It is an accounting game. My statement to my company was " In a perfect world, this would work but this is not a perfect world. What happens when a truck is late and we are waiting on it?" Their answer was " it is more cost effective for us as a company to wait on the product. This will rarely happen as we schedule our trucks very close." Right- you believed that, because none of us did. Now I would say that their buyer has placed an order for a certain amount and the public has ordered more. Now where I worked, our buyer had a six week lead time. I bet it is the same with these guys. They order so much and if orders exceed supply, oh well you wait 6 plus weeks until the buyer can get it in the pipeline to be delivered. Now I am not saying this is a right way to do business. I am saying their buyer or buyers doesn't have a clue on how much to order when they place an order. Or maybe their company does not have a lot of money to work with. In any event I am willing to bet that is what is going on with this company. They are definitely not Midway thats for sure.
