Black Friday 22LR Ammo Buy

We have a Sportsman's Warehouse in our area. Saw the black Friday ad for Aquila 22LR ammo. Was out running errands and decided to stop by about noon just to see if they had any. Wasn't expecting to find it. They had both 40 solid nose and 38 hollow points. $12.49 per box, limit two. Got the last box of 40 grain. Only got one box, in the spirit of the season didn't get two so others have some. Still had about a case of the hollow points on the shelves but folks were buying. Assume by now it is gone.

What a deal! And, congratulations on your restraint. That stuff is going for about $50-60 a brick here (Honolulu). Can't find mini-mags anywhere, on a local forum it's going for about $75 a brick now, which in a month might be considered "cheap."

Have found 22 magnum going quicker too. Bought some last summer at a local Walmart for $10.25 per 50 of CCI 40 grain stuff. Gettin worried lately and saw some at my LGS. It was that Hornady 45 grain Critical Defense but the price was $18.99. Just got to keep checking Walmart for a much better price. Glad I picked them up months ago.

I went down to the local BiMart first thing this morning and picked up two boxes of Federal bulk .22LR 40 gr. RN (800 rounds for $44.97), two boxes of Blazer .38 SPL 125 gr FMJ (50/$19.97) and two boxes of Blazer .45 Auto 230 gr FMJ (50/$19.97).

Good ammo at reasonable prices is still available.

The local Rural King ran a special on .22 LR 38 grain HP Aquila on Thanksgiving Day. Their price was $17 something for 500 rounds. I got there about 1:30 PM and it was long gone. Everything in the store was 10% off. I did buy a weedeater.
