I'm just not seeing much of anything yet. I've been checking the usual sources but, unlike previous years, there seems not to be anything that impresses me much.

So what have you seen that looks good? Any recommendations?

The Federal offers are everywhere. I don't consider them a significant savings. I hate the hassle of rebates. I'm looking for big savings without the rebate hassle. I don't think there will be much available this year.

Federal. Have been waiting for good deal on .40 S&W ammo. Price after rebate at Academy was $0.16/round. My Academy 5% off credit card pretty much took care of tax.
All other ammo, 9mm, 22LR, I saw was not that special in price.

Last year's Black Friday event at Palmetto State Armory I bought 10 boxes each of PMC Bronze ammo in 10mm 170gr JHP and .44 Special 180gr JHP at $11.99 each with free shipping. Granted, the boxes are 25 rounders, but that was still a great price for this type of ammo.

And Academy had 50 round boxes of their Monarch Brand .38 Special 158gr JHP at $12.99, in store or online with free shipping.

Today I'm just seeing the usual deals on 22lr, .223, 9mm, 40, and 45.

I'll be watching the ads and emails closely over the Thanksgiving Holiday week and weekend hoping to catch something good.

Midway USA has some great sales on ammo right now and free shipping over $49. Just ordered some .30-.30 ammo that was over 50% off. Good luck!

I think that the prices on rimfires and the popular centerfire rifle and
pistol ctgs are close to the bottom already so big reductions are unlikely.

I won't screw with rebates either. According to the flyers I have the Federal offer for .22 after rebate is about the same as what I normally pay at Dunham's without rebate, and their Federal 9mm is only slightly cheaper after rebate than the Blazer Brass I buy at Dunham's.

I am surprised that the two ammos I buy all the time, .22 and 9mm are "on sale" at Dunham's all the time for good prices. The Blazer Brass 124 gr 9mm is listed at 13.99/box but it is always available for 9.99, sometimes 8.99 and once in a while it's 7.99. I've never had to pay the list price.

The bulk packs of .22 brands vary, sometimes it's Remington others it's Federal but one or the other is always available for under $20, occasionally as cheap as $17.

I don't expect any black Friday sales are going to beat those prices.

After the rebates I'm paying $.13 per round for 9mm and $.027 for 22 lr. That's $6.50 and $1.36 per box and those prices are with shipping and tax factored in.

The common rounds are what most people buy. Advertise cheap 9mm and you get 100 customers. Advertise cheap .44 Special and you get 4 customers...

Just looked at the Academy BF flyer, nothing much interesting in it regarding ammo. They did have steel-cased 9mm (Monarch, 800 round can) at 12.5 cents, no rebate, not too bad, but I don't need it.

Just ordered 1000 rounds of Federal 9 mm 115 grain for $139.99 after rebate and including shipping. That's $7.00 per box delivered to my door, about the lowest price I've paid for American-made brass cased 9 mm in more than 10 years. I also ordered 600 rounds of Federal .45 ACP 230 grain for $149.99 after rebate and with shipping. This is from Palmetto State Armory.

I don't like rebates either, but for $100 I'll deal with clipping bar codes from 8 boxes.

Not much in Reno either and the snow on the roads has put a damper on if you really want to fight with the crowds and weather and unplowed parking lots ??

Our local Orschlens store has Browning ammunition on sale for 25% off today. They will also give you $20 back on a $100 dollar purchase. I wanted to restock my supply of .380 ammo so went to the store. I bought 370 rds of the Browning ammo and with all of the discounts and a 15% discount because my daughter works there I paid $91.10 OTD. I worked for me.
