Hello been snooping around. A few posts but nothing crazy. I performed a forum search for Potential Black Friday sales threads. Turned up nothing. I guess I am the first to mention.

Looking at picking a 640 or 637. Leaning slighting 49/51 in favor of 637. I have used grabagun.com on previous purchases. Anyone know any vendors offering sweet savings?

Thank you.

You have to have a sufficient inventory in order to make a big sale worth the effort. Right now, no need to incentivize firearms buyers, they seem to be overdosed with incentive.

This is what I was thinking. I doubt we will see any deals on guns or ammo. I expect any deals will be on accessories. Safes, scopes, lights etc.

This.

I’m thinking that since the prices of guns and/or ammo have become “reality challenged” - IF you can even find them in the first place ... around Casa de Bumpus, I’m looking to upgrade accessories for what I already own.

Finally got around to switching from irons to a red dot on my AR, and I’ll be on the lookout for deals on a light for the same rifle. And just yesterday, I got my new cocobolo 1/2 checkered grips for my carry piece (CZ 75 Compact)

If frugality is a consideration, we may not be able to continue adding to the quantity of our stocks of firearms/ammo for a while ... but that doesn’t mean we won’t be able to find deals to up the quality of what we already possess.

I also believe that there will be no "deals" on firearms and ammo for several months (I hope no longer than that!). There is very little handgun ammo available now at anything close to a reasonable price. At the last gunshow I went to in Northwest Louisiana a couple of weeks ago, there was one dealer who had some Blazer 9mm ball ammo for $40.00 per box of 50!!! And he didn't even hesitate when he told me the price. Another dealer had some .380 ball ammo in boxes of 50 for $35.00!! The last box of .380 ammo I bought before the panic was $14.95 at Academy. I refuse to be gouged on price and will wait to shoot until the panic is over. My only hope is that when the ammo comes back, they will not be a noticeable price increase.

Election and election fall out will probably determine how long before prices stabilize. A Biden win will probably keep prices and demand up until the next election. A Trump win may lead to temporary civil unrest that in conjunction with covid, will probably keep prices up until a vaccine and stabilization, another 12-18 months is my guess.
