I got 2 sets of [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019F2OPV8/ref=s9_hps_ft_g200_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-4&pf_rd_r=0Z0NEH4MRVJF96MGT89E&pf_rd_t=1401&pf_rd_p=2243989822&pf_rd_i=1002174301"]Amazon.com: Sniper® 2 Piece 6.75" Carbine Length with 14 Accessory Slots, Drop In, Aluminum, Fits Round HG EndCap: Sports & Outdoors@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51f8oSGAlbL.@@AMEPARAM@@51f8oSGAlbL[/ame] recently and they installed with no problems.
The quality and price were no problem either.
Is it a 2 piece drop in carbine length? I don't know much about the Blackhawk, but they look like a quality rail based on price.
Regarding fitment, here is a review from their website about the 2 piece drop in, so maybe it is a tough install:
Installed on a Colt M4. This handguard is meant to be TIGHT. It has to be tight so your optics etc doesn't move around. If you had a cheap AR this would be a tough install. On my M4 which is already one of the tightest tolerance AR platform made it was no joke a 2 hour job to get the thing locked in. As for the 4 screws I used a C clamp with an old shirt to press the 2 halves together to align the screw holes. This thing is rock solid once correctly installed. I put all my accessories on it & they have no chance to move whatsoever. I would feel good about mounting any optic to it & know that I won't ever loose a single MOA due to handguard movement. Now here's the only downside, for those whom have high dollar scopes and are shooting 600 yards this thing has so much pressure against the gas block & clamping pressure around the barrel nut that it could potentially mess with the barrel harmonics. This is not an issue for me, I'm taking at the most 200 yard shots with an EOTech. I don't think I will ever take this back off the gun & I will have this gun until the day I die.
Good luck, drop in rails if fit correctly can be a bear to install.
Good news. Regarding drop in rails, tighter is better! Good luck with it, looks good. I'd get some rail covers too if you don't have them already, that thing will chew your hand up.
