My experience with aluminum Blazer has been so good that I would recommend it over any other target grade ammo. This is based on more than 25,000 rounds of 9mm or .40SW Blazer aluminum, I can't speak to any other calibers.
I have done several side-by-side comparions with WWB over the past few years in new guns that I acquired. In every case, the Blazer shot somewhat smaller groups off a bench rest and always shot cleaner.
The current ammo shortage has required me to buy some other brands, and similar side-by-side comparisons have led me to the same conclusion. As a sidebar, other brands seem to be hotter with more recoil, which is not what I need in the kind of shooting that I do.
Up until the current ammo shortage, Blazer was always cheaper to buy than any other ammo in the target/practice class.
I have never had a failure to fire or a case failure of any kind with Blazer aluminum.
In all the rounds that I have shot, I never had any kind of ammo-related extraction problem in Hi-Powers, Glocks or most recently M&Ps. I have had extraction problems with two different M&Ps, but those were issues with the guns that were corrected by S&W.
So, my experience has been that Blazer aluminum is clean, accurate, cheap and reliable. I have no reason to even try anything else.
