Guys I have been looking for an original 627 for some time now, but no luck. I don't seem to have much luck finding anything much less a revolver as sought after as this. Any ideas or anyone happen to have one they just have to sell??

Just keep watching gunbroker, they come up a couple of times a year. I got lucky and found mine at the cow palace gun show in San Francisco over a year ago.

I looked for 5 years or more for one. I decided to buy the newer one as I thought that I would never find one.
About 4 months later I happened to find one that was new in the box. It was in a online auction and I ended up with it.

if you can "settle" there is a lock new model for sale right now in this forum at a bargain price (http://smith-wessonforum.com/guns-sale-trade/243711-627-pc-2-5-8-one-month-old.html)...but alas, its not the original. Does anyone know....which came first, the fluted or the unfluted UDR? or where they both put out at the same time?
