Blue Elmer Keith 29-3

It's not often I find something unusual that I had not seen before but today at a local shop I saw an EMK 29-3 and despite my not liking blue guns this one caught my eye. For what I think was an optimistic price of $1599 (with terribly refinished oversize grips) it was a stunning example of S&W bluing and bling.

The asking prices on gun broker are higher but do not seem to be selling. I'm going to keep my eye on this one to see if the seller gets more flexible in his asking price.

Anyway, does anyone here have one that they've shot?

SCSW 5th edition page 284 says only 2500 made in 1985, so maybe not a lot of owners are shooting them. No mention of oversize grips; their pic shows magna stocks - the Keith Deluxe Edition (SN EMK 001 to 100) would have ivory magnas and be worth 2-3 times more. Yes, a good one to keep your eye on.
