Dog229 here,
I got today in the mail my BMT loader and it by far the best thing a person can use to load moonclips that have a physical
handicap with their hands. Best money i have spent so far to make shooting enjoyable again!
BMT you ROCK!!

Even without any hand problems, the BMT tools is an excellent tool! Makes moon clip use fast, easy and enjoyable. Have one for my 929 and the 625. If another moon clip gun finds its way into my safe, it too will have one of these remarkable devices as a companion.

I agree with you on this tool. Even though it is expensive, it still makes loading and unloading moon clips very easy. I have tried some other tools and they do work but this tool out works them all in my opinion. I too will buy another one if or should I say when I buy another revolver that needs one to use moon clips.

I just demooned and re-loaded 20 .45 acp moon clips for our 625 3 inch. I am accustomed to doing so and finished in about 30 minutes, but I will admit sometimes I wish I had spent the extra money for the BMT.

Yeah, 20 clips, unloaded, then loaded w/the BMT would take about 8-10 minutes. I recently loaded 25 of them in less than 5 minutes using the BMT tool. A great, great moon clip tool. The best, really.

I use the BMT in 8 shot 38/357, 5 shot 38/357 and 6 shot 45ACP. I think I have tried them all over the years and BMT is by far the best, easiest and fastest. The little tool that comes with S&W revolvers is easy to carry on your key ring. The tool that looks like a screw driver (or homemade from tubing or a golf club) is easy to carry in a bag or gun pouch, but none of them is as fast as the BMT for unloading. I can load the clips pretty quickly by laying the round on a table or bench and pushing the clip down onto it. Using the BMT is much easier on the fingers and much faster.

I have a BMT also, and I agree, it is one of the best thought out devices I own.
In a pinch, you can use the hood end of a 1911 45 barrel to unload clips, with just a slight twist. Problem is the metal to metal contact, rough on both barrel and moon clips.

Serves me right right for being CHEAP! I know some use the BMT at home, take one like mine for emergency field reloading. (I am using that excuse to buy the BMT!). Will put my moon clip tool in my range (ranch) bag.

I have a Moon Clip Tool for my 625JM & my 627 Pro Series & love it. I was at my LGS one day & he had a BTM. It looked to me like cheap plastic. He showed me how it worked. I wasn't impressed. MY Moon Clip Tool is faster loading & unloading than the BTM was. And it just looks better! But to each his own.

Any pictures of this, faster than the BMT, tool?
I have seen many (MANY) different mooning/de-mooning tools out there. None can even come close to operating (both loading and unloading) as quickly and easily as the BMT tool.
Some are good/fast at one operation, none (that I have found) do both quickly and easily...except the BMT

Don't have any pictures of it but go to Deluxe Moon Clip Tool.

I just didn't like the BMT but that's just me.

I think that BMT I saw may have been yours. Was that your PC 625JM they had there? I almost bought it but those stocks was a deal breaker!

Well,
I thought that there was some newfangled space aged tool from NASA, or something, to be faster than the BMT.
I have used that tool. It was good, until the BMT arrived. Now, not even close, IMHO. Have you used the BMT yourself? I know you said "he showed it" to you.
That tool loads/unloads one round at a time. At about 3-5 times the time that it takes to use the BMT tool.
And that, with some practice, but still one at a time.

EDIT:
The Deluxe Moon clip Tool is more compact, and easier to tote back and forth the the range. I sold mine to a shooting buddy and he usually has it there.

Money well spent. Kinda like the Maglula and Uplula loaders for AR's and auto handgun mags.
