Bob Hope told a story about appearing on one of the late night talk shows.
One of the other guests was the blind golf champion.
They got to talking in the green room while they were waiting to go on. Bob asks him why he is on the show. Guy says well, I'm the blind golf champion of the United States. Bob says, you know I play quite a bit of golf would you want to play sometime? Guy says that would be great. Hope says, you know I like to play for a little money. Guy says that would be fine.
Bob says, when do you want to play? Guy says I don't know, how about midnight tonight?

That’s a good one and I’m sure his delivery would have made it even better. :D We need more Bob Hopes, and fewer… ;)

Back in 1977 I got hurt bad in a 22' fall and spent some time in the hospital.

Was watching TV and they had a Bob Hope show on. I had to turn it off as like normal his monologue was super funny and made my busted bones hurt as I was laughing hard.

I always enjoyed Bob Hope. A fuuny, funny guy. I heard that he was not a happy person and had some "issues". His Christmas shows with the troops were outstanding.

Many years ago, when I was just a young man, I thought that Bob Hope was the funniest man alive, and paired with Bing Crosby, both great entertainers. Not only in the movies but USO tours in WW2, Korea, Vietnam, and the Gulf. "Thanks for the memories."
