For owners of this pistol, what ammo should I avoid for practice or EDC?

{EDIT] M&P bodyguard .380, not a 2.0

Thanks,
Bill

Well, I never shoot anyone else's reloads. Also, if it's chambered in 9mm I avoid anything marked otherwise. Other than that -- factory 9 mm loads get shot.

Not certain what a Bodyguard 1.0 is. Not being stuffy, but there is a Bodyguard .38 revolver made by S&W. The M&P Bodyguard .380 is still a current model as is the Bodyguard 2.0.

If what you have is an M&P Bodyguard .380, avoid +P.

^^ .380 auto pistols can vary in their tolerance for ammo, so you may need to experiment. My Glock 42 took a while to break in with and required hotter ammo initially.

Not specific to any firearm... Fiocchi is the brand of ammunition I've had the most issues with throughout several calibers, so I stay away as much as possible.

WWB is dirty ammo and usually 1 or 2 duds per box in my experience. The BG380 gets to around 100 rounds and then you have to clean it or it will act up in my experience. Just saw that this pistol has been discontinued.....(see photo)

Already shot ammo. Like fingerprints, everyone's pistol and shooting abilities are different. Spend a couple hundred dollars on different types and see what you and your BG like.

Didn't think there was such a thing as .380 +P

I found the issues with Fiocchi were due to their use of hard primers, I've had issues with a particular Romanian ammunition brand that also uses hard primers. I have a vintage Browning Hi-Power that eats everything but other semi autos can be primer sensitive.
