Just an FYI... I was looking for a spare mag release and I didn't see one on eBay or online anywhere so I went to my local gun shop and they had no luck. They suggested I call S&W. S&w told me they cannot sell me one, the release would have to fail and I would have to send the gun in to have it replaced. I'm not happy about that at all as I just want a spare for the toolbox. I don't need them to change it. Oh well... I'll keep trying local gunsmiths until I find one parting one out. Please someone make a billet aluminum one!!!

After reading these post I'm sick, why, I just bought a BG 380 without checking them first, I expected to much from S&W I guess GREED has taken over and they turnout guns just for the $$$$$. I was gonna use this for my EDC, now I wish I'd bought that new LCP2 at least I'd have known it'd work cause it's a RUGER. If this is like the one you guys have, S&W has gotten my last dime.

Have you read any of the Ruger forum discussions on the LCPII? From what I've been reading the LCP II has it's share of issues and there are just as many dissatisfied owners as with the BG.

I read all the threads on the BG issues also, but ordered one last week without worry. It should arrive Friday so I'll report on it's first range trip next week.

Thats just not true.
If you dig a little you will see many of them don't even own the LCP II & are just old LCP owners that hate the idea that the old LCP is going to be replaced.
I waited a long time for the S&W BG to stop having problems, I wanted to like it, I have been a S&W owner for many years I have 4 right now, I tried it twice at the range & I just don't.
My wife has a LCP & loves it, I could never get used to the trigger so when I heard about the LCP II I dry fired one & got it. It is indeed the LCP II.

Our local Drug Enforcement Unit issued BGs for back up and UC work. Three of the agents come here. Out of those 3, one worked. So much trouble the Unit called them in. That is the only personal experience I have. I do not and will never give examples of anything that I do not know about personally. In my experience, things get convoluted in retelling.

Some problems take a lot of time....

....and detective work. I'm the kind of person where I want to get to the bottom of what's causing the problem whether it be guns, reloading whatever. Some transient problem are really tough to pin down. Overlapping problems, even worse. But I'm always glad when I get things working right. I seem to have more than my share of difficulties to solve.

Came home with a used 1 today. 50 rounds of white box Remington and 12 of PMC. No problems at all. I hope I don't have any either
