I have a M&P bodyguard 380 without laser and it is not accurate. From 7 yards it consistently shoots 3 - 4 inches to the right. Any suggestions besides aim 3 - 4 inches to the left. Thanks

I take it that you're absolutely, positively 100% sure that you're trigger press is straight rearward every time and not twisting the gun (ever so slightly) to the right @ trigger break?

Does your laser jump during trigger press (during dry fire, or life fire), or does it stay on target? Using a laser to get on target won't fix what happens during trigger press. (especially with the BG's DAO trigger).

But since you're a revolver guy, you're probably used to its DAO trigger.

I agree that you should scrutinize your trigger pull. Being a belly gun, 21 feet is about as far as one could reasonably expect. I'm not an expert however, just a run of the mill .BG .380 shooter...

After pondering my initial response... What may be affecting trigger press could be the size difference of the BG. Fitting your hand differently than your wheel guns could mean going back to square one, pretending like you're brand new to shooting and reviewing all the basics from scratch.

It's something I do with any new 'platform'.

Bersa Thunder 380

Sorry to stay but Bersa with handloads (102g Lee RN) I get nice cluster at 7 yards. My Smith 638 not as good

Buy a bigger gun? Seriously... the BG380 is not designed or intended to be a range shooter or target pistol. It is a up in your face get off me defensive pocket pistol.

Have you had someone else shoot the gun to see if they have the same problem? If not give that a try before trying to change anything.

I will let someone else shoot the pistol before doing anything. Basically it is my pocket gun that I would be using for self defense and god forbid if I had to use it; more than likely it would be close up. Now to move the rear sight to left; something a gunsmith would do? Thanks guys.

I have to use the 2nd pad in my finger. Otherwise i do a similar thing.

I have an M&P 380 I just bought last week and with my laser turned on that was the exact travel of my shot you described. If I adjust my left hand in grip I can control the point of impact now on the POI I want.
The $50 gizmo as some people call it, dramatically helped my shot placement because I could SEE what was happening. Will I ever need it in a shooting situation ... I don't know, but you know the saying about a condom.

My no-laser Bodyguard shoots a little bit low-right.

The target is the product of testing multiple types of ammo.

The little shred of orange on the target at about 10 o'clock relative to the gaping hole is what was left of a 1.5" orange dot that I used for an aiming point.

I'm not disappointed.

Firing distance was about 10 feet.

W.E.G. I'd say you've got a "grip" on the situation! :-) Very nice shooting with something the size of the BG380. Keep on doing what you're doing!
