i just picked up a brand new bodyguard 38 and i have not found any info on how to remove the cylinder from the frame for the purpose of cleaning and maintaining this firearm, along with how to remove the ejector rod for cleaning and maintaining.

does anyone have any info on how to take it apart?

it doesnt come apart like any other j frame that i own from s&w

You are correct: these things don't disassemble like a j frame.

They aren't j frames.

The entire design has been used only for this revolver.

They seem to have demonstrated a number of inherent problems including freezing up.

They are not well thought of.

I don't know how to disassemble them.

I wouldn't use one for sd: too many ways they go wrong. They aren't reliable.

the first thing i did was remove the screw in front of the trigger to be able to remove the cylinder but that did nothing. the grips are held in place by a roll pin. and the side plate is polymer.

i just dont want to start removing screws all willy nilly and mess something up.

if anyone out there can tell me any info i would be grateful.

there are no youtube videos for taking it apart.
